Why Families Choose Kate

Lessons Come to You

No commute, no parking, no disruption to your routine. I travel to your home across Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Baker, and Nassau counties so every student can learn in their most comfortable, familiar environment.

Designed Around Every Student

Every lesson is built around the student's specific needs, learning style, and goals, not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Adaptive methods mean every student progresses at their own pace, with support every step of the way.

Research-Informed Instruction

With a Master of Music Education and nearly two decades of experience, I use evidence-based strategies proven to work with students who have IEPs, learning differences, and diverse needs.

A Complete Musical Education

Violin, piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, and viola, plus music theory, composition, songwriting, music history, and recording. Lessons are built around every student's interests, not a fixed script.

Meet Kate

I'm Kate DePalma, a professional violinist, music educator, and specialist in adaptive instruction for students who learn differently.

With a Master of Music Education and nearly two decades of teaching experience, I've worked with students across a wide range of needs, including IEPs, learning differences, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and more. My approach isn't about drilling technique, it's about finding what makes music click for every student.

I offer in-home lessons across Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Baker, and Nassau counties. Every student gets a personalized plan, flexible pacing, and a teacher who genuinely enjoys this work.

When a student finds their sound, everything changes. I'd love to help your student find theirs.

Testimonials

"Kate instilled a lifelong love of music in my son. He began as a beginner elementary student and grew into one of the top performers in his high school music program. That kind of love of music and love of learning is priceless."
